The weighted average is used to average the statistical values that have different (larger or smaller) values in the data set.
Basically, to determine the average percentage, you use the same method as for numbers for which you need to find the arithmetic mean. However, the same method does not work when percentages have different (greater or smaller) values in the dataset. For this case, we use the weighted average percentage formula.
